Inner Self Reflections
Inner Self Reflections is an exploration of identity, belonging and the ever-changing nature of who we are — of confronting the many versions of ourselves, and of the solitude that can emerge even in the presence of others. Soft, elusive images become traces of moments that will never return. Their lack of sharpness is not an attempt to conceal - on the contrary, it leaves room for what is ambiguous and difficult to grasp. Analogue photography, with its openness to the unexpected and to error, allows an element to remain within the image that cannot be fully controlled. The project is an attempt to move away from the need to define oneself in a single, final form. Rather than smoothing out the image of the self, it leaves it in a state of becoming - constantly changing, incomplete, and open. Perhaps knowing oneself does not mean finding one definitive version of who we are, but accepting that we exist in a state of continual change.
